About ConnAPA

The Connecticut Academy of PAs (ConnAPA), established in 1975, is a constituent organization of the American Academy of PAs. ConnAPA supports, advocates for, and is the collective voice of the Connecticut PA Profession in the delivery of cost-effective, accessible, patient-centered, and high-quality healthcare. Activities to support the ConnAPA mission include providing quality educational opportunities, networking opportunities, employment resources and professional advocacy.

ConnAPA is a continually growing organization, led by dedicated volunteer leaders. Those volunteers lead the Board of Directors and committees that are tasked with carrying out the objectives of the organization. S&S Management is the firm that is employed by ConnAPA to handle the day to day operations of the organization. Kirsten Longley, the Assistant Executive Director, who functions under the direction of ConnAPA Executive Director, Mark Schuman, is a long time, dedicated staff member who works hard on behalf of the organization to ensure growth and success.
