CT Delegates Participate in AAPA’s House of Delegates 2026

Posted

If you have an interest in how AAPA reviews existing policies and develops new ones, then the House of Delegates (HOD) may be right up your alley! Each year during the national AAPA Conference, the HOD proposes, debates, and enacts policies that guide the AAPA and establish our profession’s official stance on healthcare issues, public health, and professional standards.

Each state constituent organization sends a group of delegates to represent their state at the HOD annually. In addition, several specialty organizations and the Student Academy also send delegates to participate.

Throughout the three-day proceedings, delegates review, discuss, and debate a wide range of resolutions, leading to thoughtful conversations and valuable perspectives from teams across the country. This year’s Connecticut HOD delegates included Chief Delegate Sheyla Marranca, Shilpa Mistry, Bill Kohlepp, Alec Williams, Adam Olsen, and alternate Sarah Adams.

For more information on the HOD – visit the AAPAs website at https://www.aapa.org/governance/house-of-delegates.  If you are interested in representing CT and attending HOD in an upcoming year, be sure to look out for our annual elections in March to submit your application!
