Connecticut now has six Accredited PA Programs, and many PA students are active ConnAPA members. Students commit their time to academic and clinical work as well as community outreach and professional involvement. ConnAPA would like to honor one PA Student that goes above and beyond by bestowing upon them the first ConnAPA’s PA Student of the Year Award. The recipient will be recognized in person, in print, on the ConnAPA website, will be awarded a commemorative plaque and gift card.
To be eligible, one must be enrolled in a Connecticut PA Program or have graduated from a Connecticut PA Program during the nomination year. The student must hold active ConnAPA student or fellow membership. There must be evidence of commitment to the profession and community. Examples include participation in community involvement/service, outstanding accomplishments, approaches to improving access to healthcare, research projects, or involvement in local/state/national activities that promote the PA profession.
