ConnAPA Joins CT Healthcare Organizations in Letter to State and Federal Leaders
Posted
ConnAPA joined a coalition of Connecticut healthcare organizations in submitting a joint letter to state leaders expressing concern over proposed changes to federal graduate student loan eligibility. These changes would disproportionately impact Physician Associates and other healthcare professionals who require graduate education, threatening workforce pipelines and access to care across the state. Together, we are urging state and federal leaders to protect access to graduate education and safeguard Connecticut’s healthcare workforce.
In addition, ConnAPA also drafted and submitted a letter to federal legislators to ensure our concerns are heard at the national level regarding proposed changes to graduate student loan eligibility.
The Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee will hold a public hearing Tuesday, February 17th at 12:30 pm to discuss the bill for those who wish to attend or provide testimony. We encourage Connecticut PAs to contact their state and federal legislators to share how these proposals could impact your education, your patients, and the future of our profession. Your voice matters in protecting access to graduate education and strengthening Connecticut’s healthcare workforce.
