ConnAPA Announces 2020 PA of the Year

ConnAPA would like to congratulate the winner of theĀ 2020 PA of the Year Rick Pope.

Rick has a long lasting impact and influence on PA practice in the state of Connecticut, through his leadership with educational, state, and national roles.

Over the years, Rick has advocated for PA influence and recognition among the medical community, while working to improve barriers to care. He has a passion for helping young and future PAs succeed, through his work as an educator and preceptor. He has also helped lead the Connecticut PA Foundation, which has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to students in PA programs.

He has been a mentor and supporter for many, and his positivity shines through in everything he does. Even now in his retirement, he continues to serve as an educator and mentor. His career of achievements and hard work have set him apart and make him worthy of this distinguished recognition.
