Cohort 2026 officially graduated on May 2, 2026. They are all taking the PANCE and are excited to begin their transition to clinical practice and start their new jobs as practicing clinicians.

Cohort 2027 is finishing up block 3 of clinical rotations. Throughout this block, students are gaining hands on experience across a variety of specialties while applying classroom knowledge to real-world patient care. In addition, this past May, four clinical year students had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans to compete in the AAPA National Challenge Bowl, representing UB on a national stage. Students are now looking forward to reconnecting with their classmates at the upcoming callbacks mid-July.

Cohort 2028 is about halfway through the summer semester! We are almost done with our GI module and learning how to navigate our first time taking pharmacology! This week of July 6th, we will be having a Spirit Week and Wednesday a field day with the students and faculty to celebrate the hard work and efforts of everyone to enjoy the challenges of the summer semester!

UB hosted this year’s Conn APA Student Day which was a great success. We are extremely proud of all our challenge bowl teams and all the many hours of preparation they dedicated to this event! Special thanks to all who helped make the day such a success and to our fans for their enthusiasm and encouragement!

The USJ PA Class of 2028 just finished our first summer module, closing out cardiology with ACLS certification taught by a team of excellent instructors from Hartford Healthcare and preparing to jump into pulmonology. We have been working on a summer-long project developing educational programs and activities for people across different stages of life, focusing on issues like social connection and well-being, physical activity, and nutrition. These presentations are designed to promote healthy lifestyles while also raising awareness about the PA profession and our contributions to the health care team. The cohort has also been working on a multi-stage literary review on developments in the diagnosis or management of various cardiopulmonary diseases. This project has boosted our confidence in our ability to evaluate research while using it to guide medical decision making. It has been a fun and challenging summer, from learning to read EKGs to practicing central line placement, and we’re eager to learn whatever comes next!

The USJ PA Class of 2027 is currently in the midst of our third SCPE and continuing to build upon the knowledge and skills gained during our first year of didactic training. Alongside our clinical rotations, we have started developing our year-long service-learning projects, with groups creating initiatives that address a variety of community health needs. Examples of these projects include a parenting seminar focused on the “First 100 Days After Delivery” and educational stations designed to teach and reinforce the importance of hand hygiene among elementary school students. Additionally, our cohort has started the exciting process of selecting thesis topics and exploring areas of medicine that align with our interests and future career aspirations. As we move through this phase of the program, we look forward to continued growth, service, and learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom!

The SHU PA Class of 2027 is officially in the home stretch of didactic year! After months of early mornings, long lectures, endless studying, and countless cups of coffee, the finish line is finally in sight. This past year has challenged us to grow academically, professionally, and personally while building the knowledge and skills needed for the next phase of our PA education.

Although this year has been demanding, it has created lasting friendships, unforgettable memories, and a sense of community within our class. When not in lecture, our class has been busy volunteering with organizations such as Person to Person, Filling in the Blanks, Swim Across America, Special Olympics, and more! Furthermore, we recently attended ConnAPA’s Student Day where our Challenge Bowl team made it all the way to the semi-finals!

With just a few weeks remaining, excitement is building for the White Coat Ceremony at the end of July. This milestone marks the transition from the classroom to clinical rotations, where students will have the opportunity to apply everything we’ve learned in lecture to the clinical setting. SHU PA Class of 2027 has had an eventful didactic year – we are excited to see what clinical year will bring!

Meanwhile, the Class of 2026 were proudly represented at AAPA by Rebecca Croucher, Selina McFeeley, and Rachel Sheldon. As we approach graduation this December and near the end of our clinical experiences, we are excited to celebrate the growth and dedication our class has shown throughout PA school. We are also proud to announce the upcoming DMSc program, reflecting our continued commitment to advancing education, professional development, and the future of the PA profession.

It’s an exciting time at the Quinnipiac PA program! The class of 2026 just finished their clinical year and have returned to campus for their final few weeks before their white coat ceremony marking the completion of PA school. Meanwhile, the class of 2027 recently completed their final semester of didactic year and have just begun their first clinical rotation. In May, the program welcomed a new class of PA students to the class of 2028, who have been working hard as they begin their didactic year.

There were many exciting events that took place over the last few months. Several first and second year students attended the 2026 AAPA conference in New Orleans with many of them also presenting posters while at the conference! Students also got an opportunity to network with PA students from around the country, attend lectures, and explore the beautiful city of NOLA. A special congratulations to our very own second year student, Amanda Sullivan, who was elected as the Northeast Regional Director on the AAPA Student Academy Board of Directors!

Additionally, many students attended ConnAPA Student Day hosted by the Bridgeport University PA program. Students attended a new grad panel, networked with practicing PAs across many different specialties, and learned how to conquer the clinical year. The day culminated in the annual challenge bowl where QU took home the win for the second year in a row!

The Class of 2026 has been hard at work in their clinical curriculum rotating throughout Connecticut inpatient, outpatient, and beyond. They have been practicing their clinical skills, employing their didactic knowledge, and sharing their professionalism with their preceptors across many different specialties. In May, several of our students walked in Yale’s University-wide Commencement celebration, in anticipation of their graduation this December. This week they are spending some time at the culinary teaching kitchen, which they are very excited for. They are nearing the end of their clinical rotations and wrapping up their thesis work. We are so proud of all they have learned, seen, and done on their rotations thus far and can’t wait to hear what else is to come.

Our class of 2027 is wrapping up their final semester of their didactic year. In May, they completed their anatomy course with their final projects and expressed gratitude to the families of the donors they had worked with all year at their annual service of gratitude. This month, they are learning pediatrics after completing a packed spring filled with GI, nephrology, orthopedics, rheumatology, ENT, geriatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, malignant oncology, and neurology. They will wrap up their didactic year at the end of this month with their final module – Emergency Medicine. They began learning about thesis/capstone projects this month, after wrapping up their epidemiology and methods course. They are gearing up to start clinical rotations at the end of this summer and are excited to start putting their didactic knowledge into practice.
